Instructions
- Heat the Oven: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Brown the Meat: Cook the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fully browned. Drain off excess fat.
- Cook the Vegetables: Add onion, peppers, mushrooms, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 5–6 minutes until softened. Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Transfer to Dish: Spread the beef and vegetable mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Prepare the Creamy Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, and eggs until smooth.
- Assemble the Casserole: Pour the creamy mixture over the beef and vegetables. Sprinkle provolone and mozzarella evenly over the top.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the cheese is melted, golden, and bubbling.
- Rest & Serve: Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy it on its own or alongside a fresh salad, crusty bread, or toasted hoagie rolls.
